Certification introduction

Bluetooth certification is BQB certification. In short, if your product has Bluetooth function and the product appearance is marked with the Bluetooth logo, it must pass BQB certification. Bluetooth certification is a proof procedure that must be passed for any product that uses Bluetooth wireless technology. Bluetooth wireless technology defined in the Bluetooth system specification allows for short-range wireless data connections between devices.

The product has Bluetooth function and the product appearance is marked with the Bluetooth logo. It must pass the Bluetooth BQB (Bluetooth Qualification Body) certification.

Standard reference Bluetooth certification program reference documents are standard references for product certification processes. Members of Bluetooth Special Interest Organizations have a free license to use Bluetooth wireless technology in the product list of Bluetooth Certified Product List (QPL). Bluetooth SIG members are free. Bluetooth QPL lists all licensed Bluetooth finished products, subsystems, components and development tools. The products listed in QPL are specially licensed by Bluetooth Certified Groups (BQBs) distributed around the world. Any BQB can evaluate, certify, and list any product certified. Joining BQB early can minimize the time and cost of product development. The organization's Bluetooth product certification policy, the documentation in the PRD, is formulated by the Bluetooth Certification Evaluation Committee (BQRB), which is elected by representatives from 9 Bluetooth SIG sponsors. The certification process is handled by the Bluetooth Certification Administrator (BQA) who represents the interests of BQRB. BQRB accredits individual Bluetooth certification groups (BQBs) and authorizes them to authenticate and list products. BQRB also recognizes certified Bluetooth certified test equipment (BQTFs) as effective execution and reporting of Class A test results (see the certification process description for more detailed information). BQRB also recognizes Bluetooth technology appraisers, who are responsible for valuing and recommending BQTF candidates.

Bluetooth BQB certification group

Bluetooth Group Bluetooth Certified Group (BQB) is a group authorized by BQRB to serve members who need to obtain Bluetooth product certification. Members obtain certification services directly through BQB. BQB is responsible for checking statements and documents that do not comply with the specifications, evaluating product test reports, and listing products in the official database of Bluetooth authorized products. BQB must be a member of Bluetooth SIG or an employee of Bluetooth SIG. BQB is an independent individual and does not need to be affiliated with a testing agency or manufacturer.

Testing agency

The Bluetooth Certification Testing Agency (BQTF) is officially recognized by BQRB and can complete the "Class A" Bluetooth certification consistency test identification in the test instance reference list (TCRL). The authoritative description of the BQTF role is in Section 4.3.3 in the Bluetooth Authentication Program Reference Document (PRD). Members can use BQTF directly for testing services. Typically, BQTF can also provide additional Bluetooth testing services. Capacity range 1. RF consistency testing, including RF, baseband and physical testing specifications. 2. Protocol and profile consistency testing, including baseband, link management, L2CAP and profile consistency testing specifications. The BQTF consistency testing capability can refer to the test instance status and capabilities page. The task of the qualification authorized Bluetooth Technology Assessor (BTA) is to represent the Bluetooth Certification Evaluation Committee (BQRB) to evaluate the technical capabilities of the testing agencies delegated for Bluetooth consistency testing and later authorized by Bluetooth SIG as Bluetooth Certification Test Equipment (BQTF). The steps and standards for becoming an authorized BTA are explained on the BTA application page.
